About Me
I have been making jewellery for some time for friends and family prior to starting this online shop with encouragement from loved ones. I discovered this fabulous craft after undertaking a workshop as part of my university studies. Amanda Gizzi ran the workshop and was mad enough to let a class of woman free reign to jewellery making tools and materials and pretty things, needless to say I loved it!
I am still studying full time at Edinburgh University, planning to start primary teaching in 2010. At the moment though its summer and I am enjoying working part time, volunteering to help set up a young carers group and having more than enough time to learn new techniques which allows me to make more complex jewellery.
Part of the reason I love making jewellery is that I adore unique, unusual pieces that are difficult to find in the high street. I have found a lot of people also enjoy owning unique jewellery which is why every piece I make is a one off, totally unique. I can create something similar but never the exact same. I’m afraid that having to make the same thing time and again would bore me too much!
